Special Olympics softball is for Challenger players who have reached the age of 21 and want to continue playing ball. Games are scheduled at Field of Dreams Complex on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Players must have a current Special Olympics medical.Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
What Does this mean to you? If you turn 21 years of age before April 30th you will remain in the Challenger division.

What is the Special Olympics Division? Due to Little League age limit, the board established a program with Special Olympics to allow players that "age out" of Challenger to continue playing under the name of Special Olympics. Without the Special Olympics Division, our adult players would have few options for continuing to play baseball.

Is the Special Olympics Division different than Challenger? Yes and No. All games are played at the Field of Dreams but Special Olympics plays slow pitch softball and the players pitch rather than the coaches. The games are competitive but we have players at all levels and abilities.

Do Special Olympics attend Opening and Closing Ceremonies, do they receive a trophy? Absolutely. All SO players are invited to opening and closing ceremonies, get a team picture, receive a trophy and have the same great fun as playing Challenger.

IMPORTANT All SO players are required to be registered and have a current physical on file with Special Olympics before they are allowed to play.

ALL SPECIAL OLYMPICS REGISTRATIONS TAKE PLACE BY MAIL. Please contact Dolly Dominguez at 792-1818 or    dolly2439@cox.net
